• Profile data: name, date of birth (used to calculate your age), boat classes, sailing positions, main sailing area, experience level, club, and description.
• User-generated content: Crewsearch posts, Events, Knowledge posts, Forum questions and answers, comments, and likes.
• Messages: private messages exchanged between users.
• Saved items and saved searches: bookmarks and Crewsearch filter presets you save.
• Match alerts: notification preferences for Crewsearch.
• Uploaded files: photos and drawings you attach to Knowledge or other posts.
• Reports and blocks: when you report or block another user.
• Payment and subscription data: if you upgrade to SailMate Plus, we store your subscription status and billing period.

• Your email address is never shown publicly.
• Your date of birth is never shown publicly — only your calculated age or age group.
• Private messages are only visible to the participants of that conversation.

Payments for SailMate Plus are processed by our payment provider. SailMate does not store full card numbers or other sensitive payment credentials — the payment provider handles them directly and securely.

Your data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure with industry-standard security and access controls. We use row-level security so that users can only access data they are authorized to see.

You have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data via your profile.
• Request deletion of your account and associated personal data.
